Long-Billed Curlew survey resources

Surveys should be completed- April 8 - May 7 and  May 8 - May 31.  Mornings are best. Ideally each route will get surveyed two times, once during each of two survey windows: April 8- May 7 and May 8 - Mary 31.
Routes can be run more than once by the same individual as well.

You can learn more about why we are surveying and what we found in past years by reading our short reports:  2014, 2015, 2016, 2017.

Survey 123 App for LBCU
Long-Billed Curlew surveyors can record data using a hand-held, smart device. Montana Natural Heritage Program and Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks have designed an ArcGIS application to make in-field data entry easy.
